By combining brass with PTFE, the advantages of both materials can be fully utilized. In medical components, brass is often used to provide electrical conductivity or corrosion resistance, while PTFE is leveraged to reduce the coefficient of friction and enhance biocompatibility. This combination can be achieved by coating the surface of brass components with PTFE.
